how to turn off the default "Get to know Confluence" startup prompt on the cloud version
After a cloud upgrade, the panel "Get to know Confluece" now shows by default with no option to permanently close the panel.
This is a recurring issue with Atlassian showing modals in Confluence. There's no reliable way to turn this off for Confluence.

Agree with your point.
While I do use and like Confluence and it does improve, the Product Management clearly needs help. They make decisions without understanding community impact. The worst I know was their "new editor" replacing tinymce. WHEN they launched it, the new editor was a complete disaster. The community at least forced them to support the legacy editor concurrently which was a win for the users.
So many of these new features SHOULD be policy driven by site, space admins or your user profile easily but they really don't do that properly in the product often.
