It seems that the only supported way of authentication to start using Confluence API in Python is inputting the username. However. I can not find where my username is stored and did not find previous discussions on this helpful. Please show me a way to find my username to start working with Confluence API in Python if this is supported in the free cloud confluence version.
Thanks
Hi Behnam and welcome to the Atlassian Community.
The REST API authorizes using your Atlassian account's email address and an API token. So you just need to enter your email address as the username, since you have already created a personal access token.

Hi,
Is there another method of authentication for REST API if my organization doesn't allow / block the use of token?
Thanks,
Ken
