Regarding permission in Confluence

Hi friends,

In confluence i have one space,

In that i have created two (Admin,Developers) group for permission. In case if i enable the permission to delete a page for developers, can they delete Admin page too?.

Please share your thoughts,

Hi Karthik,

The administration pages can not be deleted by anybody.

Giving the Developers the right to Delete pages will mean they can delete pages from the space (blogs, documents,...) they cannot administrate the space (for which they would need Space Admin Rights)

If you do give the delete space permission to a group be aware that they can indeed delete all spaces (also those created by the admins). You could use page restrictions to only give developers view rights on those pages not edit rights.

Thanks for your updates, In case if i add another group and provide the same permission as admin group have. In that situation the Developer group can able to delete there page?

It depends on the permissions you give to the group Developers. If you give as Confluence Administrator then he has ability to delete Admin page also.
