Hi there,
I've activated the custom backup path feature.
I also let the confluence service run as a domain user with rights as a service and full rights on the local confluence home dir.
I wanted to put a UNC path of a remote storage (\\1.2.3.4\backup_share\backup_confluence\ as a custom backup path, but confluence always brings up "can not be found".
Is there no way to directly backup on a remote server?
Thanks,
Matthias
Hi Matthias,
not sure, but you might want to check the Windows user rights (not directory or file rights).

Doh! Just forgot to give these share access rights to the service user :-/

I had this same issue and specifically I had to go to the services and look at the account used to execute the service and make sure that user had read/write access to said folder.
