We heavily rely on hyperlinks and prefer to have them without underlines. Especially on dashboard pages with multiple links organised under various categories.
Most of us find the underlines unnecessary and would appreciate it if this could be made configurable under the space settings, or we kindly ask that you consider reverting them to the previous style.
We understand this change was made by Atlassian, as mentioned in the post Hyperlinks in Confluence - now all underlined and on the official design page: Link - Examples - Components - Atlassian Design System.
Thank you for your consideration.
Maybe this is part of the visual refresh?
In the Typography section of this article (https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Confluence-articles/Confluence-is-getting-a-visual-refresh/ba-p/2914570), it shows an example of Link (blue, not underlined) in the Current picture, but it does not show Link in the New picture, so we can't tell whether this is changed to be underlined.
EDIT: If you look on the Usage tab of the page from the design system, it does explain why it is blue and underlined. Unfortunately, this page (like all pages in the documentation) does not indicate when it was last updated. This change is not mentioned on the Change Log tab.
Well.. This is new 😅
Apparently, this wasn't considered a major release, so it's not even documented in the release notes 👀
I've chatted with support real quick about it and they've said they will share this feedback to have enable/disable options for hyperlinks on a site level with the team.
I'd maybe suggest that you reach out to them as well and explain your requirement related to this query.
Cheers,
Tobi
