Hi!
If I create a page and I give the restricted access "viewing and editing restricted", anyone of that list can remove accesses to the page, including myself that created the page and give the access.
The possibility of giving and take accesses should be restricted to the owner of the page, don't you agree?
Is it possible to avoid this?
Thank you
Maria
Hello there Maria!
This setting is currently linked to Space Permissions:
Space Permissions - Confluence Cloud
There is a specific permissions for restrictions there. If the user listed in that page's restrictions does have such permission, the user will be able to change this setting:
This permission can be granted to both groups and individual users. So, if you need that some users are unable to do this, you need to remove the Restrictions and also the Space Admin permission from them.
Here is why:
- If they do not have Space Admin status but are granted with Restrictions Add/Delete and also have their name under restrictions as view and edit, they will be able to remove/add restrictions.
- If they do have Space admin status, they are space admins they can change the restrictions if they have at least view the page restrictions
- If they do not have both space admin and Restrictions Add/Delete permissions but are granted with View and edit restrictions, they will be able to edit the page but will be unable to change the restrictions.
For short, this can be set if both Space Admins and also Restriction Add/Delete permissions are removed and the user is granted View and edit restrictions.
