Reordering pages isn't hiding them in the page tree

I'm trying to find a way to not have the page tree show in the sidebar. I don't want to remove the entire sidebar. I've tried to simply hide pages, but the directions for hiding a page (moving it to the root level, so it's at the same level as the space home) do not result in it actually being removed from the page tree.

Is there another way to hide a page that actually works in Confluence Cloud? Is there a way to automatically hide the page tree across the entire space, or even just via page settings?

Hi Morgan,

there maybe some plugins that allow this. The way I do it though is to create top level pages that are just a page with a child macro on them

then I create pages underneath that child. So the only pages that show are those that are the top level ones unless people intentionally click to get further within a page tree

best,

clark
