Restore Page Layout VMD?

I spent a considerable amount of time customizing the Page Layout and Main Layouts for a space. Then one of my "admin" users clicked a single link (the "Restore Default" link in the admin panel) and undid all the customizations. Is there a way to restore or find previous editions of these custom VMDs?

Follow up to this. After noodling around in the database, it doesn't look like versions of the decorators are stored in the DECORATOR table. As a result, unless there's another way, I'll have to restore the database from a known good back up and then extract the one decorator that got blown away.
