Restrict plugin to user group in Confluence

lazy boy September 9, 2015

Hi,

Is there a way of restricting individual plugins to a specific user group?

Can anyone suggest another plugin/user macro/script that can do this?

Thanks!!!

In addition to Nic's answer, we just created the following feature request to work on it as a bundled option, sir:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-39235

Feel free to vote on it or share some comments there. smile

Not really.  An add-on can add all sorts of functions to the system and the control of each function is up to the function, not the add-on.  If you want to stop people doing a certain thing with an add-on, then the add-on has to be written to support that.

You can do some security work with macros if you use Bob Swift's Macro Security add-on, but for everything else, you need the add-on to have coded for control.
