Restricting workflow edit access

David Younger May 16, 2019

I have created a public knowledge base article:

Kb Article

It works fine but how do I disable Space Settings, + button etc since the user is anonymous public and I just want them to view KB Articles.?

Cheers

David

Hello David,

Welcome to Community. It's nice to meet you!

It is the expected behavior in Confluence Cloud that the anonymous users will still see the sidebar (including Space Settings and the + button to create pages). Please do still confirm that you have the page proper permissions. I assume you have already reviewed the Space Permissions but please do just in case you haven't. Feel free to share with me your permissions if you want me to confirm that it looks right.

Otherwise, we do have a few feature requests to change the behavior. Many users agree that they do not want their anonymous users to be able to view these menus which are useless to them.

Please vote on the above requests, and you will automatically be added to watch the tickets, and receive updates on any progress.

Be aware that even though the users can see the menu items, as long as you verify your permissions are set properly, then they won't be able to make any changes to your instance.

Regards,

Shannon
