Hello. Is there a restriction on Smart Multi-Row function where text field fill-in is not available in the main form?
I have a sub-form which contains a pulldown and fills in a text field based what you select in the pull down. It works just fine in the form itself but when used with the Multi-Row functionally, the field does not work.
I'm using the "Rules for Field Definition" to fill in the field. I'm asking the admin what version we are currently using so I don't have that information yet.
Thanks
Glen
Hi
Smart fields expect you to set the IDs of the records you link, that includes a smart multi-row
You cannot set a sub field in the form that smart multi-row is linked to, you can only set the smart multi-row field value itself

Thanks Alex for the information! That's too bad. I'll have to redesign the form input methodology to gather the info a bit differently.

Geln

Well, sorry about that, but field definition rules work on the "current form" only... and not on "sub forms"
