Roadmap Macro Bug - Cannot edit content

Brad December 20, 2018

Hello,

My roadmap has become un-editable (I can add bar, lane, marker, but cannot input any names for these items).

Also, when trying to edit the roadmap, it sometimes extends beyond the screen, resulting in the "Insert" and "Cancel" buttons becoming not clickable.

Anyone else experience these issues?

Thanks!

Hello Keating and welcome to the Community!

There is a reported bug within Firefox that is causing issues with the Confluence Roadmap Macro. You can find more about the bug report at CONFCLOUD-59008. We would suggest you vote and watch this issue to receive future updates on its status. I will also link this post as a reported confirmation of the issue.

With this said, are you using the Firefox browser or a different browser?

Are you able to provide a screenshot of what you’re seeing so we can attempt to find the issue if it is not the Firefox bug?

Regards,
Stephen Sifers

Same issue here.

Cannot access the Publish button or other elements of the bottom bar which have been covered by the Roadmap macro.

Attempted with both

  • Chrome Version 71.0.3578.98
  • IE 11.785.16299.0

Occurs whether I'm editing an existing large roadmap or even adding a new roadmap widget to a page.

Further Observations:

Currently I can only successfully edit a roadmap by closing all browsers and then navigating through the main Confluence page to the page containing the roadmap. This will allow editing of one roadmap.  Then the process must be used again.

  • Close all browsers
  • Open browser and navigate to main confluence page, open document tree and select roadmap page.
  • Edit roadmap and the page behaves properly.
  • Edit a second page with a roadmap, Roadmap causes error by covering the Insert/Publish bar.

Navigating directly to the page I wish to edit does not work.

  • Close all browsers
  • Open browser, paste in the page URL of the page I wish to edit that has a Roadmap on it.
  • When editing the Roadmap macro, the Insert/Publish bar is covered again.

Hi Stephen,

Thanks for responding and apologies for the late response.  I am currently using Chrome Version 72.0.3626.119 (Official Build) (64-bit) on a Macbook Pro.

Please see attached for screenshot. I cannot edit any of the text, delete bars, etc

Hello Keating,

Thank you for the follow up on your issue along with the screenshot and chrome versions you provided. I did find the following bugs have been marked resolved ( CONFCLOUD-65229 and CONFCLOUD-59008), but it seems your issue still persists. This led me to see if there was another reported bug for a similar issue that is still outstanding. I did find CONFCLOUD-61778 which looks to be more relevant to your issue with no longer being able to edit.

I will make note of this bug and associate this post to that issue. Along with this, we ask you please vote and watch this bug request to receive future updates.

Regards,
Stephen Sifers
