I have a corporate installation using confluence 4.0.5 with SharePoint Connector for SSO and it works just fine. One thing that we have noticed is that if you try to send an email to a user who has not yet visited the Wiki then they do not show up in the @user name in comments. All of our users are in a group and those who have visited the Wiki can email each other no problem.
Is there a way to fix or change that. The reason is we need to be able to notify people who have not yet used the Wiki for various reasons.
Cheers
The @user mention suggestion are retrieved from user's USERINFO object in the index. In Confluence prior 4.3.x, USERINFO object will only be created if the user logs in, or their profile page is being viewed by another user. However, starting Confluence 4.3.3, these users (that haven't logged in yet) will have their USERINFO object created and indexed automatically (refer https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-11467 for more details).
My suggestion is to upgrade your Confluence to 4.3.3 or higher, and you should be able to get them mentioned.
