Screenshots not copying over

We are copying our Standard Operating Procedures from Google docs to Confluence.  Within these documents they have screenshots of certain processes. When we select all to Copy and go to Confluence to Paste everything comes over except for the screenshots. Is there any way I can get this to come over with the other copied information?

This is a known "bug", however even if this worked I think you would find it would actually embed the image from the source, rather than attaching it (so they will break if the original Google Docs page is deleted or if the user doesn't have access).

A better way is to export from Google Docs to Word, then import the Word document. The images will be attached to the new page.

Thank you for your quick reply.  Our organization utilizes google docs so we can easily share documents to each other. We decided to copy and paste the actual procedure into Confluence as a new blank page. So when the document needs to be updated we do not have to go to the original google doc to updated it then upload it back to Confluence. So I guess the import documents would not be an option.

Just like copying and pasting, once the document (exported from Google Docs as a Word document) is imported into Confluence, it will become editable just like any other Confluence page. The only difference is that your images will be imported as well this way.

This is different from attaching the file to a page.

This works but is not very user friendly. 

Often people store the docs version in their download directory (info security risk), the uploaded page will be added to the source of the pagetrees so you need to re-order the page again. A lot os steps if you are starting to import many Google docs content. By the way, importing from Gitlab has the same issue.

So, it would be nice to have a easy way of working, just let the import of Google docs work properly as expected.

By the way, in the current version of Confluence cloud it works beautifully, even alle the intelligent housestyle is copied including images.
