Hi
Does the current search function allow users to click on the search bar and be presented with a list of the top 5 most viewed pages of all wiki users prior to inputting their search
Hello Karanpreet,
Search functions in Confluence and very versatile and have multiple different ways to search. Confluence Cloud Search will show recent Pages and Blog posts along with recent spaces you have visited. However, it will not show 5 most viewed pages across the site.
There are multiple reasons for not wanting to do this. One of them is Space permissions and page restrictions. If you have Space or page that is only restricted to say HR, but a user from outside HR is able to see said page as a drop down of popular pages this might be an issue. Same goes for pages that may have a page restriction in place and you do not want users that are outside of that restriction to see a drop down of that page.
Here is the full list of the capabilities of the Search. Along with the functionality of the Livesearch Macro.
I hope you find this help and that it clarifies the functionality of Confluence Search.
Regards,
Stephen Sifers
