Search results for file attachments do not work

When I use search (top right corner) to try to find a list of all Excel files, I get one result, even though there are a lot more files.  I have tried search for xls and xlsx.  I also get results that have nothing to do with those search terms.  Please help, as this makes the system quite difficult for my team.

Hi Dallas,

I'm sorry you've been having problems getting the Confluence search to work right.

Could you show me what your search term is, and an example of a few of the files you're expecting to find? You can include a screenshot here of your search if you think it will help.

I'd also like to know your Confluence version so I can test this.
