I'm trying to find out a good way to secure Confluence with a free Let's Encrypt SSL (automated). This, in general, is usually pretty easy to setup. However, Confluence make it seem a lot harder than its supposed to be with the documentation and non-support. What are the steps to make this happen on a Ubuntu 18.04 server, Internal LAN w/ 1 DHCP external WAN, and with Cloudflare as my NS?
Hi Matthew
welcome to the community
Do you want to configure ssl directly within the tomcat or at a proxy server in front of confluence
https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/running-confluence-over-ssl-or-https-161203.html is the official ressource for that, however https://github.com/richstokes/lets-encrypt-confluence provide also some good input on ssl termination at the tomcat level.
Cheers
Kurt
