Hi all, I am trying to work out how to selectively include rows from tables in child pages into a 'master' table in the parent page. This idea is similar to the included 'task report' macro included with Confluence, except not using tasks but taking rows from a table (the layout of Task Report does not fit my needs).
So, is it possible to grab certain rows of tables from child pages in a macro and compile that into a new table? Whether or not a row is selected would be done based off a column in the table
Hi @James Sedman ,
Recently we've posted a blog post that covers your use case - How to Create Reports with Multiple Confluence Tables.
With the help of the Table Filter and Charts for Confluence app, you'll be able to collect tables with multiple rows across you Confluence instance, space, or page tree branch. There are no any limitations like with the standard Page Properties Report macro that works only with one-row tables.
And you'll also be able to filter your combined table to show only the required rows and hide specific columns that you don't need at the moment.
Check if the app has been already installed for your Confluence instance (look for the Table Filter, Table Transformer, Table Excerpt macros in the macro browser) or start your free one month trial of the add-on.
Hi, try the page properties macro, you add a table to the macro then use the page properties report to compile the data. You will only be able to have one row per page however.
