Share page by email stop working

We have been using the share button to share page to couple email addresses and it's been working fine. Around middle of last week, we started to notice the recipients were not receiving the share notice. I ran some tests and found out when the recipient is a Confluence user or the email address of a Confluence user, the share notice arrives with no issue. But if the recipient is not a Confluence user, the share notice never arrives. Anyone else experiencing the same issue? Any suggestion on how to fix this? Thanks.

My understanding is that they have to be a confluence user or you are not really adding them to the list of individuals that the page will be shared with.

Thanks, Brant. But on the link you sent, it clearly says "The recipients can be Confluence users or any email address(es)". And from our experience, it worked before.
