Hi

We're looking for a solution to manage code language versions on different projects in Confluence. We want to manage different versionings in our Wiki (separate space). For example, code language versions or OS versions.

My idea was to use simple page links and then output all incoming references on the version page.

Example:

Wiki page structure:

  • Ubuntu
    • Ubuntu 16.04
    • Ubuntu 18.04
    • Ubuntu 20.04

Server page structure

  • Server1 -> link "Ubuntu 18.04" page
  • Server2 -> link "Ubuntu 18.04" page
  • Server3 -> link "Ubuntu 20.04" page

The "Ubuntu 18.04" page should then list Server1 and Server2.

But I can't find a way to list incoming links.

Is there a way to somehow solve that? It don't have to be page links, that was just an approach we tried.

The only way I can think of doing this out the box is to use labels and tag the server page with the OS it is using it (based on your example above). I would use this with the Page Properties Macros to generate a report on your OS page.

Otherwise, you'll need to consider a third-party add-on (there are some in the marketplace) or create your own add-on.
