Good afternoon,
I have the following problem, I use scroll pdf exporter and we need to deliver documents to some client and we realized that now the plugin is transforming special characters into symbols.
I checked here on the forum and in some comments they said to use another font, check if this is in utf-8 among other suggestions. I tried and I couldn't solve the problem.
I use confluence server 6.0.4 and scroll pdf exporter 4.0.5.
The language I use is Portuguese (Brazil)
Since this can go wrong in several areas there is indeed more than one thing to check.
I hope you are the local admin with server access otherwise I wouldn't even try.
Things I would check:
- Is the database utf-8
- Is the general setting in Confluence utf-8 (General Settings Page)
- Is there special Encoding set in conf/web.xml
- Maybe yes another font can help, have you experienced the same problem with all the available fonts? And which ones do you have? "Source Sans Pro" should be there at least, also you can upload your own in the Template section and try if that helps.
Also a never version of both apps could help too and I would suggest it.
But thats depending on other issues as well i guess.
