Hi I have a space page where I wish to change author as they no longer work on project.
1) How can we give admin access back to user myself, it says we are on a free plan but when I try to upgrade it gets stuck in a loop.
2) How can we edit author to myself on space pages?
Regards, David.
@David Turner Welcome to the Atlassian Community.
Authors of pages, spaces and comments cannot be updated from the original licensed user that published the space/page/comment. They remain in perpetuity, even after a user has had their license removed or has left the organization.
Regarding setting yourself as Admin, how are you trying to complete the upgrade from your free plan? The only way to set page and space permissions would be to upgrade to standard. If you are having issues with the upgrade we can tag in Atlassian resources to assist. Please provide some details on what you are doing.
Just to be clear though, even after upgrade you would not be able to change the page/space author, so you may not want to complete the upgrade at all.
Thanks Andy.
Further to this, I worked out a solution by creating a new space page altogether and not worrying about the pre existing page.
Now, the only thing is, we wish to change permissions on the new page, but I cannot see access to this for the standard user licence we paid for ?
Its showing another site we have, say Site 1, and not the correct site to change access (Site 2)?
