Space permission error when changing group name in AD

The permissions of the Confluence space are set and used by AD groups and users.
When I change the name of a group, confluence does not find the group, and I get a message that the group cannot be found.
Is there any way to solve this problem?

Hey there,

for groups there is no unique ID attribute configurable in the group schema settings of your Active Directory connector that would allow tracking of group name changes. Therefore, consider if you really need to change the group name.

If you need to change it, you have to update all references (in your case space permissions) manually, i.e. removing the old entry and adding your renamed group as new entry.
