Switch from native to LDAP/Active Directory

Jason Friedman October 25, 2012

We installed our Confluence product several years ago and are now up to 300 users. Authentication is done natively (within the tool) as opposed to LDAP or Active Directory.

We want to move to Active Directory as the authentication method. How?

Thank you, Neal. I have a user, John Doe, who created a native login jdoe@myorg.com. His Active Directory login is jxd. How do I associate these two logins?

Hi Jason,

This doc shows the process for migrating from an internal-only to LDAP-authentication:

Hope it helps!
