System error after copy

I copied a page and its children, appending "[3.41]" to the beginning of each page name. Copy seemed to work, and pages appeared in the tree hierarchy, but when I try to select one of the copied pages, I get a system error saying "...Illegal character in path at index 14..." which I'm assuming is because of the square bracket at the start of the page name.

BUT...

How can I rename or delete pages when I can't select them to edit them??

Any help appreciated.

Cheers,

Marty

If you can work out the page IDs for broken pages, then you can take the url for "delete page" from any page that works, and just replace the id=nnnnnn with the page id of a broken one.  This might work for edit, but I don't know if the broken stuff breaks edit, or would just stop you saving it.

I assume you've got some scripting tool, as you can't prefix pages with names during a copy using the built-in functions.

Thanks, Nic.  This wasn't the exact solution, but it lead me to the solution.
