Once I create a page template, and associate labels with it, We can not delete the label. Lets say while creating a template I gave the label as 'test' and saved it. Now I wanted to delete the 'test' label and give a new label called 'try and run'. But if I edit the label and add the new label 'try and run', and save it, I still see 'test' label along with 'try and run' label for that template.
So the old labels become never deleting for a template.
Is this a bug or the behavior is not an issue?
Seems like you're hitting a bug: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-25327. It is fixed in Confluence 4.3. This bug is causing the created label to multiply and also it's impossible to delete the existing labels. The only workaround is to delete the page template, and recreate it again. To eliminate this issue entirely, I'd suggest for an upgrade to the latest Confluence version.
