Text on PDF export not changing with stylesheet

Hello everybody, 

After a few days of searching and trying, I'm comming to you.

I can add a nice header with image and a footer with the correct text to a pdf export of my confluence page.

But when I try to change the text size of the content of my page, nothing happens.

For the header and footer I used advanced-pdf-export-customizations and I also checked on customise-exports-to-pdf (besides the search function of this site).

Even taking a part of confluencedefaultpdf.css and changing the sizes of h1, h2 etc. has no effect.

What I see when I change the background-color of the @@page-tag in the stylesheet is that the output is changed, but in the middle there is a white block, showing all of the text of my page

Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong?
