use of confluence for e-discovery process

Hi there!

We have a law client who wants to know if Confluence has been used for document discovery. What they are trying to do is to cut the cost of working through thousands of documents in a discovery phase of a law case or restructuring / sale process. It is at present a very labour intensive process. They need to be able to automate the process of finding the latest version of a document. Has anyone seen Confluence used for this?

Hello Steve, if you are looking for a software to store large amount of documents, and have different version of the, then yes, Confluence can do this.

Confluence has versioning for pages, as well as attachments in the pages, and so the same document can be edited, and the newest version will always come up in searches.

On top of that, add-ons like the one below, expand on these features, allowing different pages to all be organised as multiple versions if needed.

But, I would suggest that you download Confluence, and have a run at it. The evaluation license allows you to access all the features and functionalities of Confluence, along with support, and the add-ons can be added with evaluation licenses as well! :)
