Hi,
I can't display thumbnails on my Confluence Server 6.6.2 page when expanding the attachment macro :
Yet, I can display them on the preview of a macro itself :
Does anyone have an idea about how to fix it please ?
Regards,
Camille
PS: I have an other Confluence server 6.6.0 in which the macro attachment works well.
Hi Camille,
It sounds very similar to this bug:
The thumbnails in the 'Attachments' macro do not appear on a published page. However, they appear in the Edit macro dialog and when previewing a page before saving it.
I am able to confirm this behavior.
However, you mention specifically that you don't see the thumbnail when collapsing it. But in your example, the macro is expanded. Can you just confirm with me that you do not see the preview when expanding the macro? When collapsing, it hides the information about the attachment and so I wouldn't expect to be able to see the preview.
Thank you,
Shannon
Hi Shannon, sorry I am going to correct my post. It’s « expanding » and not « collapsing »
I also should have mention that I have an other Confluence server 6.6.0 in which the macro attachment works well.
Thank you for the link !

Camille,
Thank you for clarifying!
Can you first vote on that bug to help show the number of users with the issue, and comment there to let them know what you told me about the other 6.6.0 server? It might be not all 6.6.0 servers have the issue; maybe your other one has a setting that could fix the problem!
Feel free to mention the differences there if you've picked up on any that might affect the problem.

Shannon

Shannon,
My bad, my Confluence server instance here is 6.6.2, and the other one with the macro attachment working well is 6.6.0, I just corrected it in my post. I am going to report it on your bug link and vote for it.

Camille

Thank you for confirming that!
