Unable to Publish or Save excellentables after upgrade

Upgraded to Confluence v9.2.6 and Excellentable v5.1.8

The excellentables do not have a publish option when editing a worksheet. Also - the Save button no longer works either. So we are unable to make any changes to our saved workbooks.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix? We have uninstalled and reinstalled app. The vendor has a ticket from us but moved it to backlog.

just saw that you did not get any replies. Here are some basic troubleshooting tips in case you have not already tried them all

so assuming this issue is related to compatibility between
Confluence v9.2.6 and Excellentable v5.1.8. Here are a few steps you can try:

  1. Check for Updates:
    • Confirm whether Excellentable has a newer version compatible with Confluence 9.2.6. Sometimes, the latest Confluence versions require a plugin update.
  2. Clear Browser Cache / Test in Incognito:
    • Occasionally, browser caching can interfere with button functionality.
  3. Inspect Browser Console for Errors:
    • Open the browser developer tools (F12), try clicking Save/Publish, and see if any JavaScript errors appear. Share these with the vendor or Atlassian community.
  4. Check App Permissions and Global Settings:
    • Verify that Excellentable has the necessary permissions in Confluence after the upgrade.
  5. Reinstall or Roll Back:
    • Since reinstalling did not work, consider rolling back to the previous version of Confluence or testing Excellentable v5.1.8 in a staging environment.
  6. Contact Vendor with Logs:
    • Even if the ticket is in backlog, providing detailed logs and console errors may help escalate your case.

If none of the above works, you might need to wait for a vendor patch or hotfix, as this appears to be a post-upgrade compatibility bug.

Tip: Keep an eye on release notes for new Excellentable builds and consider subscribing to updates from the vendor.
