Unable to connect to Atlassian Marketplace

I have a new install of Confluence on Server 2016 that is unable to connect to the marketplace from within the confluence application. I am able to access the site and ping the site from the server hosting Confluence. 

The application is setup with a connector to support SSL, the base url is also set to an https address. It still does not work when I revert back to non ssl. 

 

We do not use a proxy.

Hi Jacob,

What is the behavior when you cannot connect to the Marketplace via the UPM? I understand you cannot connect over http or https, but you verified network connectivity to the marketplace from the server command line.

Since you are using Windows I have to ask if enhanced security in IE is an issue. Which browsers have been tried?

Please let me know any browser error or whether the browser hangs trying to connect. Please check the <confluence_home>/logs/atlassian-confluence.log for errors that correspond with the attempts to reach the Marketplace.
(Note) The <confluence_home> directory is the path defined in the following file: <confluence_install>/confluence/WEB-INF/classes/confluence-init.properties
