Unable to create a new page on Confluence (text grayed out)

Hi there everyone! I've been having an issue recently where I'm unable to create a page in confluence. When I go into the editor, all editing options are grayed out except the text color option. 

I originally thought it was a permissions issue, so I created my own personal space and double-checked the permissions under that and everything looked fine. But I did the same thing attempting to create a new page, but even in my personal space, it was still grayed out. (example pic below)




Has anyone had this happen before or know a solution?

EDIT: I've been upgraded to admin across the board and still no dice.

Faced the exact same problem on Windows 10 + Firefox 82.0.2

Checked with chrome and found it is working. Followed Adam Rypel's post above and went through the bug report from the link provided. (Thanks to Adam for the direction)

Invoked Firefox configuration using "about:config" and toggled "network.websocket.auto-follow-http-redirects" to "true". The default setting was "false".

For me, the problem resolved then.

To my surprise, the problem returned the very next day. Unable to edit the page. Everything disabled. No cursor.

After spending time with some googling, established that this is a problem isolated with Firefox browser on Windows. (On Linux it is working without any problem) Chrome is working on the same Windows host without any problem. Then found these behaviors, even though fixed -

So, modified the Firefox proxy setting to choose "Auto detect proxy" -

Firefox --> about:preferences --> NetworkSettings --> "Auto detect proxy settings for this connection"  option. 

By default it is set as "Use System proxy settings". Selecting "Auto detect" has fixed the editing problem now. Problem stands resolved for time being.

Hello @Yara_Elder ,

might be a weird question from me, but did you try to click into the text section of page? When I am in Page Title, all the options are grayed out - tittle cannot be formatted.

I did. :( I tried clicking pretty much everything, but nothing is working still.

seems to be a bug :/ Check out https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-68168

Try using workaround provided there, or check out the comments, seems update of Firefox should help too - if you are using Firefox of course.

If that does not help, vote on the issue. Or maybe someone else here would be able to help.
