Unable to create new Space - Could not load resources for space dialog

Alexander_Liebrecht September 26, 2018

Hello Community and Developers!

I have big Trouble with Creation of a new Space in Confluence on the last Confluence-Server-Version in Centos 7.5 with MariaDB 10.2.18.

I have already tried everything. It's a Fresh installation, just reinstalled a few days ago.

If I want to create a new space in the frontend of Confluence Server, a German message "There is an unexpected server error" appears.

You can not open a space creation dialog in Google Chrome Console. It displays 500 ERROR and resource / web-items can not be loaded.

I am counting on MariaDB 10.2.18 and have read that it is not supported. But it can not be that Confluence with MariaDB does not get up and running.

Creating the Pages works fine and soon after the first installation of Confluence I was able to create the first space. Three days later, the dialogue in the frontend did not load anymore.

How can you fix the problem?

Thanks in Advance.

P.S.

Please move to a supported database.  An unsupported one may only be partially working, and we can't rule out that you have database issues unless you're on a supported one.

Very sad, but spent half the day installing PostgreSQL and restoring Confluence Server. It worked, but you still can not create the space. It is the same error with 500 ERROR.

The resource can not be loaded.

What else can I do? I use PostgreSQL 10.5, that is the latest version.

Can not help me because the problem persists. I already rely on Postgres 10.5 as a supported database. All reinstalled and restored from the XML backup.

Only with a complete new installation is it possible to create spaces. A while later, this function is no longer available.

What should I do to fix the problem?

Thank you in advance.
