Is there a way to create a Confluence page that includes checkboxes that automatically uncheck when the page is refreshed?
Basically, I want folks to be able to check off steps as they complete them, but allow them to easily (one-click) uncheck all the boxes when they're done so someone else can use the page as a checklist.
Hi Chela,
Providing checklists for different users sounds great. Unfortunately "checkboxes" which usually are called "tasks" in Confluence work a little bit different. These are considered to be one time actions and usually assigned to users.
However a nice workaround would be to create your checklist as a template (either in a space or globally). So users will get a "XYZ Checklist" template in the create page dialog. This will always create unchecked boxes. A huge benefit here is that you can document your execution at the same point in time. If this is not required somebody can directly delete the page again after all steps were executed.
Best, Tobias
Hi - @Chela Wallace according to Tobias' solution you may use the Create from Template Macro to have a button to create the page from the checklist template.
