Unique hyperlinks from scaled images

Greetings - I am interested to hear if anyone has a means to solve this:

Imagine you have 50 team spaces - the spaces all generally operate in the same manner. Let's say each of those team spaces has a home page where the team can land to find all their useful links - one of which being "our team" which has an associated image the user can select that sends them to the team's unique "our team" page. 

From an administrative perspective, let's say you wanted to keep a common image associated with the "our team" link across all spaces - one that you could update periodically by updating in one location rather than updating each site individually. 

Next, you would like to associate a unique hyperlink to that scaled image so that when a user selects the image in any space, they are sent to their space's unique "our team" site.

So, one image scaled across the enterprise, unique links wherever the image is used - that is my question.

I have been utilizing excerpts which work well to scale and re-use the image, but I haven't found a way to assign a unique address for the image in the spaces where it is used.

I've been looking for some image map tools that might work, or maybe a "hover" solution where I could dump a unique address.

I am also up to re-think this entirely - the high level ask is to create a similar look and feel across the instance that allows for unique links and is manageable for an admin. I have been down the "wild west" route many times and watched those instances quickly become unmanageable.

One possible approach to achieve this is by using a combination of the following features:

• Page Properties and Page Properties Report Macro:

  • Create a dedicated "Our Team" page in each team space.
  • Use the Page Properties macro to store metadata about each team on their respective "Our Team" page.
  • Include information such as team name, description, and a unique identifier.

• Image Links:

  • On the home page of each team space, use the Image macro to display the common image.
  • Create a link on the image using the Link macro. Link it to the respective "Our Team" page using the unique identifier.

• Excerpt Include Macro:

  • If you want to manage the content of the "Our Team" pages centrally, consider using the Excerpt macro.
  • Include the excerpt on the "Our Team" pages of each team space.

Here's a step-by-step guide:

• Create "Our Team" Pages:

  • In each team space, create an "Our Team" page.
  • Use the Page Properties macro to store metadata about each team, including a unique identifier.

• Include Excerpts:

  • On each "Our Team" page, use the Excerpt macro to wrap the content you want to share across spaces.

• Create Home Page:

  • On the home page of each team space, use the Excerpt Include macro to include the content from the "Our Team" page.

• Display Common Image:

  • On the home page of each team space, use the Image macro to display the common image.
  • Link the image using the Link macro and point it to the respective "Our Team" page using the unique identifier.

This way, you have a central location for managing the content of the "Our Team" pages while displaying a common image on each team space's home page. The unique identifier ensures that the link on the image directs users to the correct "Our Team" page for their team space.

I believe the image macro calls for images to be uploaded rather than re-used. Do you mean gallery or another type? I hope to store one image that can shoot across many pages in many spaces - but I am willing to consider any linkable option that allows me to update a single file when changes need to be made across the system.
