User list in the people directory is not appearing after creating a staging environment

Hi,

I am doing an upgradation of my confluence from 3.1 to 5.0.3, for that I have created a staging environment which is similar to Production environment. In the Staging environment the users list which is present in people directory are not coming, but the local user which already had created to login is coming in the people directory.

Request you to suggest an answer for the issue.

My guess is that your production system is hooked up to an external user directory and gets most of its users from there?

You'll need a test copy of that in your Staging environment.
