User logs in to JIRA, then still needs to log in to confluence

Calman Drysdale July 11, 2016

I have configured Confluence server to use JIRA user management. However, when a user logs in to the JIRA or confluence website then navigates to the other it asks them to log in again.

How can i make it remember who they were logged in as already?

Thanks

JIRA and Confluence are separate systems, so you log into them separately.

Their user lists (directories) can be drawn from a common place, but that's just the same user lists, it says nothing about what they're doing.

What you need is some form of "Single Sign On" (SSO).  There's no function for that in JIRA or Confluence, but you can add it - Crowd implements it across the Atlassian suite, and there are other add-ons that enable it and support other applications too.
