Users cannot see calendar in confluence space

Users cant view calendars that have been added to a confluence space despite the calendar being set to "any one can view only some can edit". We do have some custom event types that may have jira issues they do not have permission to see, but would that prevent them from seeing all the others like "travel, leave, events"?

@RR are the calendars in that space or are they in a different space and embedded in that space?

If the calendar is in one space but embedded in another then individuals who do not have access to the space the calendar is in will not be able to see it where it is embedded.
