Using a form to add events into a team calendar

There's a question from 2017 on the same topic. It never had a positive resolution and the two feature request posts linked to from it remain open and unresolved. Is this still a big, fat nope, can't be done or have there been any happy developments since then? 

We would like to have a trigger that updates calendar events based on date fields in form-created pages.

@Gregory Muir this is still at the same place it was in 2017.  Since there is no API available to team calendars might be a while before this could be a possibility.

Hi @Gregory Muir Atlassian mentioned that the suggestion is not currently on their roadmap, even though having 550+ votes. The status of the suggestion is "Future Consideration" but not sure by when they will consider it. At the max, you can vote for it and start watching it for future updates.
