Verify change to new email address not received when connected to Google account

My existing email is connected to Google login. When I change to new email address and send verification link it is not received. New email definitely works and is receiving and sending emails to/from other sources.

 

I have tried resending a few times, and also undoing the change and retrying over several days.

 

Any ideas?
