Verify domain

alejandra.romero October 14, 2021

Hello,

We are planning the migration of Confluence from server to cloud. The first step has been the verify domain. We are administering the confluence of one department of a big company, if i verify the domain that comes after the @ of the email, does it means that i'm gonna manage all the accounts of the company? if they have atlassian cloud products? We don't want to do that because as i said we only managed the product of one department.

Thank you!

@alejandra_romero , Indeed, this is a problem in your situation.  If you verify a domain, you will be administering all users for Atlassian products.

thank you for your answer!  @marc -Collabello--Phase Locked- , is there a way to avoid it?

And for the billing, for example if we want to use Atlassian access, are we going to pay for all the managed accounts that appears in the domain?

I live in the same situation as Alejandra, administering just 1 department of our university. The university does not want to verify our complete domain.

Is there an alternative to migrate my JIRA and Confluence environment to the cloud without verifying the complete domain ???

Hi @Gert Goos , yes it is useful, we couldn't do it. We had to verify all the domain....
