Watcher notifications not working for Confluence Cloud

When my team 'watches' a confluence page they are not getting updated when the page is updated. Tagging still works for notifications and JIRA watcher notifications are working. We have the standard confluence product not premium. 

Email notifications are enabled at the confluence level and I have ensured personal email settings are enabled for both content owned and content watched.

I've read that the daily digest could affect this, but with both the daily digest enabled and disabled we are still not getting watcher notifications for updates on confluence pages.

Are any notifications coming from Confluence at all?  If not I would suggest submitting a support issue to Atlassian.  Then they can look at it and see if for some reason the emails are not going out.

thank you. no i checked my email and nothing is getting sent to junk and i have not personally received an email from confluence since the beginning of august so something must be up. I will submit a ticket.

Hello @Emily Brol did it finally work again? I have the same problem, watchers are not being notified by confluence. I don't know if pages with children affect the watcher's behavior.

P.D: Daily digest emails are received with no problems.
