Ways to identify empty spaces in text for new users

Good day everyone! 

I had an interesting situation: a user was conflicted about unaligned images.

After review, empty spaces were on top of the image and below, sometimes obvious but sometimes not as it required to click "backspace" when positioned next to the image, otherwise it would not work. I tried to explain this situation as best as they could, but they didn't get it, nor have the patience for it :)

Has anybody faced this and might have a workaround? A web extension or a third-party app? Like a pilcrow, but for Confluence.

@Rodrigo I wonder more about how the image was added.  Are they pasting or inserting the images? I see more formatting issues when users paste items onto a page.
