What can Appfire CLI Cloud version can do?

Octavian Stanescu October 2, 2023

Hi,

Is there a list of actions that appfire cli specific for cloud version only?

For example we migrated a very large number of spaces from a server into cloud.

Now we have to "Recover Permissions" for each one, and then to add a group or user that is in the cloud instance to the access list.

Can this action be done with the CLI?

For example2: I tried to change a user email with --action updateUser --userId "xyz" ....

and I got: Client error: Action not available for Cloud.

Hi @Octavian Stanescu

The Command Line Interface internally works with the rest API provided by Atlassian. As of now in your bold list addPermissions CLI action are available in the Cloud.

Please refer to this article for addPermissions

I was referring to the CLI for the cloud version

For adduser I found normal rest api "invite-by-email" - experimental but it works somehow.

@Octavian Stanescu Welcome to the Atlassian community

I would suggest referencing their cloud documentation here https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CSOAP/pages/68457915/User+s+Guide  for a list of actions.

You can drill down to the actions page (https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CSOAP/pages/68458401/Actions) and on that page it states Not available for Cloud. if it is not in the cloud product.
