License June 12, 2014

Hi

what does this line in the log mean? The reasen I ask is after an update, Confluence won't start. It just sits there, and this is the last line in the log.

[localhost-startStop-1] [plugins.tasklist.upgradetask.StorageToAoMigrationUpgradeTask] logProgress Migrating tasks to active objects. 27 tasks migrated so far.

Hi there!

According to this page:

Active Objects is a new ORM (object relational mapping) layer into Atlassian products. Active Objects is implemented as a plugin into Atlassian applications. It enables easier, faster, and more scalable data access and storage than the existing Bandana and PluginSettings APIs.

The goal of the Active Objects plugin is to provide a plugin data storage component that plugins can and should use to persist their private data

So in other words, it's a way to the plugin to persist it's data. The Task migration to active objects is a expected behavior and it should be fine. You can expect more if these messages appearing in confluence in the next upgrades.

Cheers,

Rodrigo

Hi Rodrigo.

Ok. Thanks.

Perhaps you also would know how I would know when this is done, and the migration completed without errors. The reason I ask i as mention above, and also posted in another tread: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/304247/unable-to-open-confluence-pages-after-update
