What editions of SQL can be used for Confluence

Is it possible to use SQL Express with Confluence?

Or is SQL Standard the minimum?

(Taking load into account, as appropriate. Our use case is very light.)

So long as you stay under the requirements for SQL Express (DB size mostly) I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Nope - that page give versions rather than editions.
