Hi,
I was cleaning up my confluence server data last day and had a few doubts.
1) When we delete pages, the deleted pages are stored in the Space tools -> Content tools -> Trash section from where we can either Restore or Purge them (permanently delete them). What happens to the attachments that were attached to those specific pages? Are they also deleted along with them or retained in the Attachments section ?
2) Instead of deleting a page, when we delete a space directly, I guess all the pages under that space are deleted permanently (along with the attachments too ?) ? Or is there some other scenario when we directly delete a space ?
Thanks,
Neha
Hello,
When deleting a page and moving it to trash, attachment together with page data remain in your instance in case these will need to be restored later. If page is purged from trash, then page and it's attachments are gone forever. This is explained in Delete or Restore a Page guide. Same thing happens to Space, if Space is deleted, it's attachments and pages are gone forever, and can only be recovered from backup.
Regards,
Igor
