We are finding it difficult to launch Confluence as a Knowledgebase to our customers, because of the convoluted registration Atlassian offers. I was looking at G Suite and Google Apps discussions, which appear to provide possible solutions. I have a couple questions related to using G Suite, plus I'm interested in finding any other suggestions:
- When you create users and sync with G suite, are users logging in from Google or can they still use the Atlassian Login once imported? If was thinking of providing a link to a Confluence URL and was hoping they would be able to login without going through Google.
- When you import users via G Suite; can I force the password reset upon syncing?
- What are the differences between G Suite and Google Apps for signing in?
- I looked at the Salesforce connector for the Cloud. It seems to mostly be for data, but can this be used to import or connect Users?
- What other options are there for creating/importing Users into Confluence without inviting them to register? - we do not want to allow "Anonymous Users".
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
