What is this little flag in my text?

When editing a page in Confluence, I see this little flag in my text.  There's no mouse-over popup information.  It was orange before but now it's green.  What is this?

Ah, it's an indication that someone else is editing the text at that point (I think)

Correct, that is the indicator that collaborative editing is enabled and multiple people are editing the page.
