Hello everyone!
I'm having a bit of a problem finding out what versions of Edge that Confluence works on. The latest version of Edge runs on the Chromium engine, but I also know that a lot of customers are still using the legacy version of Edge (44).
On this page it says Edge: https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/supported-platforms-207488198.html
And on this page it says "latest stable version": https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/supported-browsers-744721663.html
My question: What versions of Edge are supported to run Confluence? Is it the 85+ only?
Best Regards, Maria Heij
Hi Maria,
the pages vary, one is written for Confluence Cloud - while the other is written for Confluence Server.
I checked some older post where it was reported that MS Edge version 44 is working with Confluence - this was specifically referring to the Cloud product.
Assuming that version worked and there are no contrary statements I'd say that MS Edge is a supported browser for both products. Documentation does not lead to any other assumption.
In case a specific version of Edge is causing trouble for a customer it might be interesting to know about the specific challenges - in case it was not a general question, though.
Cheers,
Daniel
Thanks Daniel. As part of the test and support team at a Marketplace Partner, it's good to know what to aim for when checking versions for functionality and the major differences between 44 and 85 of Edge made this more urgent as we piggy-back of Atlassian's guidelines.
Thanks!
